Michael George Negrete

Mike is a native of California. He spent most of his childhood in the South Bay, although he and his family also briefly lived in Santa Barbara for a few years. He grew up with his parents George and Connie, little sister DeAnna, and two beagles Winky (who could only open one eye) and Sassy (named after her attitude). Mike's mom is Finnish and his dad is Mexican.

Mike attended high school at Westmont High in Campbell and college at MIT in Boston, where he earned a bachelor's and master's degee in electrical engineering. He currently works as an analog IC design engineer at Linear Technology in Milpitas, California.

Hobbies: Playing sports, esp. tennis, biking, skiing, golf; Reading The Economist, New Yorker, novels; Spending time with his favorite fiance Rosaline

Rosaline Yun Juan

Rosaline was born in Toledo, Ohio, and moved with her family to Little Rock, Arkansas, when she was two years old. After finishing preschool and developing a Southern accent, she and her family moved to Wilmette, a suburb north of Chicago because her dad had a professorship at Northwestern University Medical School. She spent her next 10 years in Wilmette with her parents Shirley and David, two sisters, and variety of pets. A job opportunity led her family to move to California when Rosaline was 15, and she finished high school at Monta Vista High in Cupertino. After high school, Rosaline returned to the Chicago area to attend Northwestern University, where she earned a B.A. Cum Laude in environmental science and political science.

Rosaline has spent her career in Washington, DC, and the Bay Area working on both environmental issues and on behalf of impoverished populations. While working in DC, Rosaline won a graduate fellowship to attend American University, where she earned a M.A. in public communication with a public interest emphasis. Since moving back to California, Rosaline has worked for Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Child Advocates, and the Stanford Social Innovation Review at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is now working on her second master's degree, and she is currently a graduate student in counseling at Santa Clara University.

Hobbies:
Volunteering; sports, esp. tennis and biking; reading; travelling; practicing Spanish; editing and graphic design

Her Recent Trip Was To...Mexico City area where she studied at the Universidad Internacional and volunteered at the orphanage Al Abrigo de Dios.
